I grew up and attended high school in a small Welsh village. I studied medicine in Cardiff and South Wales In 1986 I ventured to work in New Zealand where I met my future husband. After working here and having our first child, in 1989, we went back to Wales. There I worked as a consultant in Newport, S Wales. In 1991 we returned to NZ to continue our careers. We have lived on a lifestyle block in rural Dairy Flat, where we raised our 2 children, for 25 years I am a keen gardener and in our “spare time” my husband and I visit our cherry and apricot orchard in the South Island
